Neptune for Healthcare Professionals
Capture the everyday life of your patients
Neptune gives you continuous, minute-by-minute symptom and treatment response data from your Parkinson’s patients — so you can personalise their treatment with more precision. Now fully covered by IKK Südwest.
THE CLINICAL GAP
See the pattern – not just snapshots
Your patients’ symptoms fluctuate throughout the day. Medication response varies. Sleep quality, stress, and physical activity all play a role. But a standard appointment only gives you a snapshot – a single moment that may not represent how your patient actually lives.
Neptune bridges that gap. It provides continuous motor symptom and treatment response insights that show you the missing information behind the snapshot: when patients are ON, when they are OFF, when dyskinesia occurs, and how severe. In essence, you can see how each of your patients responds to medication over time.
Neptune is a Class IIa medical device, CE marked.

Neptune is a breakthrough technology that gives me objective 24h information on my patients. With the insights provided by Neptun, I am able to better diagnose my patients, adjust medications, and take informed treatment decisions.
Dr. Urban Fietzek from Schön Klinik Schwabing
Neptune gives me valuable insights into my patients’ symptoms during their daily lives outside the clinic. This allows me to personalize therapy more effectively to each patient’s needs. The Orbit team also handles the onboarding, making the entire process easy for both physicians and patients.
Dr. Philipp Capetian, UK Würzburg
Neptune enables us to monitor our patients’ motor functions continuously and objectively, which greatly aids treatment decisions. The intuitive analyses are particularly valuable, as they help us to tailor medication to individual needs and objectively demonstrate the success of treatment. As a result, both our patients and our care teams benefit from more efficient and evidence-based care.
Dr. Francisco Pan-Montojo Puga, Sorpesee Neurological Clinic
Neptune’s continuous analysis offers previously unimagined opportunities to better understand the often highly unpredictable fluctuations in our patients’ condition. This digital system can significantly alleviate the major problem of unreliable and subjective descriptions of a patient’s condition during the months-long intervals between doctor’s appointments.
Dr. Ingmar Wellach, specialist in neurology and psychiatry, Hamburg
Neptune supports me in my treatment decisions. It improves patient selection for advanced treatments and facilitates communication with my referral network and with my patients.
Dr. Thomas Köglsperger, LMU
By continuously monitoring mobility with Neptune Care, we can identify when medication is working effectively and when symptoms arise. This enables a significantly more personalised and precise course of treatment.
Dr. Sarah Gößling, Head of Neurology – Saarlouis Hospital, German Red Cross (DRK)
Frequently asked questions
Q: Are there any costs to my practice?
No. There are no setup fees, software licences, hardware costs, or hidden charges. IKK Südwest reimburses you for your time – you do not have to pay for anything.
Q: Do I need to do the billing myself?
No. Reimbursement is processed directly through Convema. There is no separate invoicing or claims process required on your end.
Q: How is the data collected, and how can I access it?
Your patient wears a Garmin smartwatch that continuously records movement data. Neptune’s unique AI processes this data to generate motor symptom insights, including ON, OFF, and dyskinesia states. Patients can also log medication, meals, exercise, and non-motor symptoms through the app.
You access all patient data through the Neptune physician portal at your convenience. Insights are presented as a clear and intuitive visualisation, which you can review before or during appointments and compare across customisable time periods.
Q: What if my patient is not insured with IKK Südwest?
Currently, full coverage and physician reimbursement are available through IKK Südwest only. We are in active discussions with additional insurances. Patients who are not covered by IKK Südwest can contact us to learn more about alternative access options.
